JLo’s Thanksgiving Tips

Friends,

Let’s get real, if your lifestyle doesn’t include room for restaurants, happy hour, or social events, it’s not sustainable. This week is about living your life without blowing up your progress.

The goal isn’t to avoid social situations, it’s to upgrade how you show up in them.

Restaurants serve bigger portions, hidden sugar, and poor macro balance. Alcohol messes with your sleep, lowers your standards, and slows down fat loss. But you can navigate all of this if you plan and take ownership.

Thanksgiving is this week. It is your chance to prove that you don’t need perfect conditions to stay consistent. All you need is a plan and the mindset to follow through.

Be social. Be strategic. Be the version of you who makes aligned choices.

Dining Out Strategies:

- Look at the menu ahead of time (decide before you’re hungry)
- Prioritize protein and greens
- Ask for dressings/sauces on the side
- Eat slowly and skip the free bread or chips
- Order one drink, then water or sparkling water

Alcohol Tips:

- Choose dry wine, tequila, or vodka soda — low sugar, fewer additives
- Never drink on an empty stomach — always pair with protein
- Avoid alcohol close to bedtime (4+ hour buffer is best)
- Track it like any other calorie — it counts

This week make it your job is to plan ahead and practice control, not perfection. You can participate and still make aligned choices.  Enjoy the holiday, but better yet, enjoy the amazing feeling you have when you stay true to who you are - a person who thinks and acts with healthy lifestyle habits.
